The election this November gives us a chance to elect someone new to the Tenth District’s Senate seat. Yes, we have the guy who sat in the seat during the session back in January, February and March, but that is about all he did. We have an opportunity to elect a real go-getter to that position, Helen Price-Johnson!
Ms. Johnson has been dealing with many of the problems of a large part of the Tenth District for the last twelve years as County Commissioner from Island County’s First District. And she has truly dealt with them, from the recession days ten years ago to our current COVID-19 days. They have been difficult times and Helen and her colleagues in Island County have stepped up to the challenge.
Who do we want going to Olympia to create solutions to the problems facing our communities? In reviewing data from the Public Disclosure Commission, it appears the Johnson campaign for the State Senate is supported primarily by donations from individuals in the Tenth District. Her opponent’s campaign is heavily supported by contributions from corporations, corporate PACs, and the Republican Party. We’re voting for Helen; she will be working on behalf of the people in our district.
Yes, this is chance to put a really competent individual into the State Senate for us. And as a predecessor of Helen’s was heard to say, “A woman’s place is in the House, and the Senate, and … .”
Join us in voting for Helen Price-Johnson to represent the Tenth District in the Washington State Senate!
