Monday, September 7

11:26 a.m .: Safe landing – Deputies were advised of a need for water rescue off Hope Island Rd. for an overturned kayaker. Deputies responded and were advised the kayaker had made it to shore and no longer needed assistance. Golden View Ave., Greater La Conner.

11:40 a.m .: Leave for good – Deputies responded to a verbal fight among several people. Deputies arrived and determined this was a trespassing issue with a prior tenant. The prior tenant was told to leave the property. Channel Dr., La Conner.

10:51 p.m .: Door and case closed – Report of a vehicle stopped on the side of the road with its door open. Deputies responded and found the vehicle had already left. SR 20 / La Conner Whitney Rd., Greater La Conner.

Wednesday, September 9

12:09 p.m .: (Different) greens harvested – Report of an honor money box at the farm stand that had been damaged overnight. La Conner Whitney Rd., La Conner.

1:31 p.m .: Limb lost – The caller reported that she believed her renter removed a branch from her property. The renter shares the property with her. Bradshaw Rd., Greater La Conner.

8:50 p.m .: Limped away – Report of an injured deer wandering on the roadway. Deputies were unable to locate the deer. Leslie Ln. / Best Rd., Greater La Conner.

8:59 p.m .: Crime ongoing – Caller reported her vehicle broken into on 9/1/2020. The caller said her bank card was taken and used at two stores in the Burlington area. Bay View Edison Rd., Bay View.

9:01 p.m .: Parking lot crime pattern – Caller reported his vehicle broken into 9/1/2020. The caller said the only thing missing was a $20 bill. Bay View Edison Rd., Bay View.

9:01 p.m .: Crime pattern redux Caller reporting her vehicle broken into on 9/1/2020. The caller said her bank card was taken and used at two stores in the Burlington area, her iPhone was also taken. Bay View Edison Rd., Bay View.

Thursday, September 10

5:48 p.m .: Eyes on neighbor – Report of a male injecting himself with an unknown substance in the parking lot. Deputies checked the area, but the vehicle was gone upon their arrival. La Conner Whitney Rd., La Conner.

6:22 p.m .: Eyes on neighbor kids – Caller reported people dealing drugs in vehicles at the Bay View school. Deputies contacted kids, who were just playing basketball. Josh Wilson Rd., Bay View.

Saturday, September 12

2:53 a.m .: Aground around here – Caller reported their boat had run aground just outside the Swinomish Channel, not taking on water. The caller was later found to be aground near Goat Island. Coast Guard notified. Shoshone Dr; Shelter Bay.

7:05 p.m .: Two cold ones – Caller reported he had dropped his ear buds in the parking lot and believes they were stolen. The caller said he was tracking his earbuds on his phone and they were showing in the area. The caller called back and said he found them in the beer cooler. A market, Morris St., La Conner.

Sunday, September 13

11:31 a.m .: Ford tough – Caller reported she was cut off by a Ford in the traffic circle. La Conner Whitney / Chilberg Rds., Greater La Conner.

12:35 p.m .: Seaside view – Report of a loose boat in the Swinomish Channel. Swinomish PD had secured the boat prior to deputies arrival. A tavern, S. 1st St., La Conner.

10:28 p.m .: Not our job – Caller requested assistance from the Sheriff’s Office in pulling his vehicle from the ditch. The caller advised he had AAA on the way but did not want to wait the two hours. Deputies advised they were unable to assist in pulling his vehicle from the ditch and to wait for AAA. Bradshaw / Calhoun Rds., Greater La Conner.
