Vote without posturing

Three Dark Clouds are hovering over the world today and this coming election should not be glibly decided by party posturing. It is time to wake up your family and friends and point to these three clouds.

The First is the coronavirus, COVID-19. This is a worldwide threat to our very human existence and is mutating – indefinitely.

The Second is the threat of nuclear annihilation. The U.S. alone has enough warheads to wipe out every country on the planet several times over.

The Third is drifting closer and closer to silently cover all of us. Climate change. Wake up! It is inevitable and real. It is here, now!

This world needs leaders with clear thinking, those who will actually work together to pull us through these worrying times. What we do not need is to have more warring, greedy people with no thought of what’s to come, except what pleases their ego and lines their corporate pockets.

What’s at stake in electing the leader of our nation could not be more serious. We all need to settle in and do our homework before we fill out our ballot. (Provided they arrive on time?)

I will take scientific information vs. government intervention concerning lessons on the pandemic and climate. Unity vs. division where lives and gender matter (Black Lives Matter and Equality). Why not decide to love what we have vs. envy and/or hate others for their origins of birth?

We cannot fathom and dare not forget, there will be no one left to write the history and not a soul left to read, and no place to run. What will remain is a planet devoid of life. No one escapes.

Life will be over. Yours, mine, our families and friends. The choice you make in the next election will determine which of the Three Dark Clouds comes sooner, or later.

VOTE – Your life and those you love, depend on it. Political parties be damned!

Vote to rid this country of the governing “cancer” that spreads the fear.

The doomsday clock ticks away the seconds. Then it stops, for all of us.
