Monday, November 9

4:36 p.m .: Shot downtown – Report of a large dead Blue Heron. The call was transferred to the Department of Fish and Wildlife to handle. Washington Ave. / S. 1st St., La Conner.

Tuesday, November 10

9:36 a.m .: Stealing from a realtor – Caller reported that his office window had been pried open and the office door was locked from the inside. Deputies checked the building and unlocked the office door, nothing appeared to be disturbed or taken inside the building. Morris St., La Conner.

4:27 p.m .: Need kindness to stranger – Caller reported a male trying to sell a stereo in the parking lot. Deputies contacted the male who was having car problems and just trying to get back to Bellingham. Fir Island Rd., Conway.

9:33 p.m .: Fighting with words – Deputies responded to a report of a female shouting. Deputies contacted the involved parties and determined no assault had occurred and trespassed one female from the property. Caledonia St., La Conner.

Thursday, November 12

4:51 a.m .: Charge! – Deputies assisted a disabled motorist with a dead battery. SR 20, Greater La Conner.

12:51 p.m .: Cold car called in – Caller reported a cold hit and run motor vehicle accident. Benton / S. 2nd Sts., La Conner.

5:01 p.m .: Urban / rural divide – Report of a pumpkin covered in tar in the roadway. SR 20 / Farm to Market Rd., Greater La Conner.

Friday, November 13

10:42 a.m .: Cooperative clean up – A delivery truck blew a fuel line on the roadway causing a traffic hazard. Skagit County Public Works responded to clean up the roadway and Washington State Patrol responded to complete an inspection of the truck. Fir Island Rd., Conway.

10:53 a.m .: Wind on the Ridge – Report of a tree blocking the roadway. Deputies assisted in removing the tree. A deli, Best Rd., Greater La Conner.

12:06 p.m .: Wind kept blowing – Report of a tree blocking the roadway. Public Works advised. Valentine / Best Rds., Greater La Conner.

2:16 p.m .: Scam call – Caller reported a telephone scam where someone was impersonating an officer. The caller was calling to confirm the officers name. 2nd St., La Conner.

11:29 p.m .: Drank but didn’t drive – Deputies responded to what was originally thought to be a motor vehicle accident. The reporting party thought that an intoxicated person had been hit by a car in the driveway. Deputies determined the man was intoxicated and had just fallen down in the driveway and injured his head. Calhoun Rd, Greater La Conner.

Sunday, November 15

12:01 p.m .: Voices and hands raised – Deputies responded to a report of a tenant refusing to leave a rental property, with parties raising their voices. Deputies found there had been a minor assault, but the victim did not want to prosecute. An eviction issue was determined to be civil and they were referred to legal counsel. Channel Dr, La Conner.

5:26 p.m .: Safe caller – Caller reported an intoxicated male was trying to get into a vehicle and drive away. The caller was able to get the keys from the male and get him a ride home. Calhoun / Beaver Marsh Rds., Greater La Conner.

9:09 p.m .: Dog not on the trail – Washington State Patrol in a pursuit and requesting a K9 to respond to the Anacortes area in case the driver fled the vehicle. WSP terminated the pursuit prior to contact. Deception Pass Bridge.

Monday, November 16

9:45 a.m .: Men overboard – Swinomish Fish and Game responded to a capsized vessel in the channel. Two subjects were pulled from the water by other fishing vessels in the area. No assistance from Sheriff’s Office marine patrol required and no aid required for the persons pulled from the water. Shoshone Dr., Shelter Bay.
