Monday, Jan. 5

11:37 a.m.: Went which way? – Report of a speeding vehicle. Deputies conducted a patrol check. Maple Ave. / Morris St., La Conner.

12:18 p.m.: Not left behind – Report of an abandoned truck towing an RV. Deputies tagged the vehicle for removal. Deputies returned the next day to check on the vehicle and it was gone. Fir Island / Dike Rds., Conway.

Tuesday, Jan. 6

7:59 a.m.: Right with God – Deputies responded to a report of a suspicious “Environmental Services” van. The van was last seen in the parking lot of the Catholic Church. Deputies contacted the church and confirmed the business van was supposed to be there. Whatcom St., La Conner.

3:39 p.m.: In and out – Caller reported someone had pried her apartment door open while she was sleeping. The suspect was not in the apartment and nothing was taken. Maple Ave., La Conner.

5:34 p.m.: Got away – Report of a white passenger car weaving on the roadway. The vehicle was last seen in the parking lot of the Shell station. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle. La Conner Whitney Rd., La Conner.

Thursday, Jan. 7

4:38 p.m.: School daze – Report of a helicopter that landed in the La Conner School field and dropped off three people, then left. N. 3rd St., La Conner.

Saturday, Jan. 9

11:05 a.m.: Lost package – Caller called to report she may have lost her purse at the La Conner Post Office. S. 1st St., La Conner.

Sunday, Jan. 10

9:30 a.m.: Stolen – Caller reported the theft of an orange package from the end of his driveway. Skagit City Rd., Conway.

12:10 p.m.: Smart pet trick – Caller reported that her dog had stepped on the lock button and locked her out of her vehicle. Tow company handled the lockout. S. 1st St., La Conner.

12:24 p.m.: Almost lunch – The caller reported nearly being attacked by a dog while walking in Pioneer Park. S. 4th St., La Conner.

1:39 p.m.: Dangerous journey – Report of a wrong way vehicle traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of SR20. WSP and Swinomish Tribal Police were also notified.SR 20 / La Conner Whitney Rd., Greater La Conner.
