12:33 p.m.: Still not fooled – Caller reported a suspicious phone call from an attorney. The caller believed it was her ex-husband. N. 3rd St., La Conner.

6:44 p.m.: Her hot news – Cold vehicle prowl. Suspect broke a window and stole the caller’s purse. Bay View Edison Rd., Greater La Conner.

Tuesday, August 10

7:21 a.m.: Hit and ran – Deputies investigating a cold hit and run property damage accident. The suspect vehicle was located unoccupied. Investigation continuing. S. 3rd St., La Conner.

11:20 p.m.: No evidence – Deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle. They patrolled the area, but were unable to locate it. S. 4th St., La Conner.

11:21 p.m.: Helped out – Report of a male riding a bike in the dark with no headlight. Deputies provided a courtesy ride out of the area. SR 20 / Best Rd., Greater La Conner.

Thursday, August 12

4:12 p.m.: Stealing from us – Damage and theft of money from a parking meter box. S. 2nd St., La Conner.

5:23 p.m.: Sharp moment – Caller reported used needles dumped on the seat of his forklift. Deputies collected and disposed of the needles. Caledonia St., La Conner.

10:22 p.m.: Unplugged – Caller reported a theft of a power and extension cord from a moored boat. Port security said they would contact the boat and owner. N. 2nd St., La Conner.

10:32 p.m.: Ghost car – Report of a “retired police cruiser” going 100 MPH. Deputies checked for the vehicle, but were unable to locate it.. McLean / Kamb Rds., Greater La Conner.

Saturday, August. 14

4:05 p.m.: Fender bender – Deputies responded to a private property, non-injury vehicle accident. Morris St., La Conner.

Sunday, August 15

5:46 p.m.: Linked in – Report of a boat that had come loose from its buoy. A fellow boater called and advised they were able to secure the boat to another buoy. Similk Bay, Anacortes.

Monday, August 16

8:28 a.m.: Rolling along – Deputies contacted a vehicle on the walking trail. The driver was told there were no motorized vehicles allowed on the trail and to leave. Bay View Edison Rd., Greater La Conner.
