Monday, October 25

8:40 p.m.: Left after lit – Caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked on their property. The vehicle left the area after the homeowner shined a light on it. Deputies checked the property and area for the vehicle, but were unable to locate it. Valentine Rd., Greater La Conner.

Tuesday, October 26

2:18 p.m.: Prowler tracked down – Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle prowl, where a window was broken and items taken out of two vehicles. One of the items taken had a GPS tracking device in it and deputies were able to track the suspect into Oak Harbor. Oak Harbor Police Department assisted by contacting the vehicle and suspect. Deputies arrived in Oak Harbor, located the stolen property, and arrested the suspect for two counts of vehicle prowl, two counts of theft second degree and malicious mischief second degree. Bay View Edison Rd., Bay View.

Wednesday, October 27

11:32 a.m.: Dog whisperer wanted – Caller requested a phone number regarding ongoing issues with loose aggressive dogs. Conner Way, La Conner.

6:34 p.m.: Drug pick up? – Deputies responded to a report of a female banging on the door of the pharmacy, trying to get in. The female left the store prior to deputies arriving. The caller just wanted an area check for the female. Morris St., La Conner.

Thursday, October 28

1:30 a.m.: Can’t come back – Caller reported seeing a male walking through her yard. She also reported her vehicle had been entered and ransacked. Swinomish officers contacted the suspect and deputies interviewed him. There was no evidence that he entered the caller’s vehicle. He was issued a trespass admonishment for the caller’s property. Chilberg Rd., Greater La Conner.

6:18 a.m.: Future stolen – Caller left his truck unlocked overnight and had two $1.00 lottery tickets stolen. Best Rd., Greater La Conner.

12:11 p.m.: Rode loot away – Caller reported a cold theft from their shop. The caller said a dirt bike and several tools were taken. Landing Rd., Greater La Conner.

12:18 p.m.: Stuck at home – Caller reported a dump truck blocking their driveway. Bradshaw Rd., Greater La Conner.

2:25 p.m.: Jackets hijacked – Caller reported a cold vehicle prowl. The caller reported a grey Patagonia jacket, and a La Conner letterman’s jacket were stolen. Broadway St., Conway.

4:37 p.m.: Hate crime? – Caller reported a 6’x7’ gay pride flag had been stolen from in front of their business. Morris St., La Conner.

10:39 p.m.: Neither trick nor treat – Report of a person trying to open Amazon boxes on the caller’s front porch. Deputies were in the area and immediately responded. Deputies did not locate anyone in the area or any property missing. S. 1st St., La Conner.

Friday, October 29

6:20 a.m.: Strange encounter – Report of a vehicle parked facing the wrong way. Deputies responded and found the vehicle had been moved into a field. Young / La Conner Whitney Rds., Greater La Conner.

Saturday, October 30

9:39 a.m.: Dog gone – Caller reported a missing golden retriever. N. 3rd St., La Conner.

Sunday, October 31

5:24 p.m.: American driver? – Report of an erratic“American made” truck with lane travel, westbound on Chilberg Rd towards La Conner. Best / Chilberg Rds., Greater La Conner.

6:00 p.m.: Ghosts and goblins – Swarms of short people, followed by taller ones, on streets throughout La Conner. Reports of a variety of princesses, pirates, monsters and more, all carrying bags or colored plastic pumpkins of loot. They self-dispersed after a couple of hours. Widespread, Greater La Conner.
