SCOTT STEPHAN WILME

Scott Stephan Wilme died peacefully in his home with his family close by on December 30, 2021 in La Conner, Washington after a long hard battle with cancer. He was 53 years old.

Scott grew up predominantly in Kirkland, Washington and Ocean Shores, Washington. As a teenager in Ocean Shores, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle in the sand dunes and was a volunteer fireman. He graduated from Hoquiam High School then attended Washington State University. At WSU, Scott became a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. It was during this time that Scott met his wife, Lindsay. The years he spent at WSU are some of Scott’s most memorable and he remained a proud Coug throughout his life.

After college, Scott moved to Bellevue, Washington. He married, Lindsay, on August 14, 1994. They would be married for 27 years. While living in Bellevue, Scott attended Seattle University and obtained a master’s degree in Finance. He then worked at several different companies before settling down to a career in commercial real estate as a partner at Westlake Associates in Seattle.

Scott’s greatest joy in life was his family. He was happiest when being with Lindsay and his two children: daughter, Abigail, and son, Thomas. His favorite family activity was boating in the San Juan Islands and the Canadian Gulf Islands. Four years ago, Scott moved with his family to La Conner to spend more time with them and to be closer to the islands and waters he enjoyed so much.

Scott was a member of the Seattle Yacht Club, Shelter Bay Yacht Club, and was a Scottish Rite Freemason.

Scott will be remembered for the love and devotion he gave to his family and his kindness to friends and strangers alike.

Scott is survived by his wife Lindsay (Lambie) Wilme, children Abigail Wilme and Thomas Wilme, mother Stephanie Peralez, brother Ryan Wilme, father-in-law Alexander Lambie, brother-in-law Gavin Lambie, and nieces and nephew. He is preceded in death by his father Chuck Wilme, mother-in-law Christine Lambie, brother-in-law Ken Lambie, and sister-in-law Patricia Lambie.
