Sunday, February 20

3:43 p.m.: Stolen car – Caller reported his wife’s key was stolen a couple months prior, and her vehicle was just stolen. Beaver Marsh Rd., Greater La Conner.

5:27 p.m.: Car rollover – Deputies responded to a one car roll over accident. The driver was arrested for physical control and the collision was investigated by Washington State Patrol. Beaver Marsh Rd., Greater La Conner.

Monday, February 21

6:03 a.m.: Erratic driver– Deputies were advised of an erratically driven silver passenger car heading southbound. La Conner Whitney/Mclean Rds., Greater La Conner.

Tuesday, February 22

12:59 a.m.: Abandoned vehicle – Deputies responded to an abandoned vehicle complaint. Deputies found the vehicle parked in the cemetery parking lot. Valentine/Best Rds., Greater La Conner.

3:25 p.m.: Bay View prowl – Caller reported being on a walk and when he returned both drivers side windows had been broken into. Nothing appeared to be missing from the vehicle. Bay View Edison Rd., Bay View.

Thursday, February 24

1:00 p.m.: Lines down – Semi-truck driver pulled down communication lines with his truck. Maple Ave., La Conner.

3:00 p.m.: Another rollover – Deputies responded to a one car rollover accident. Josh Wilson Rd., Bay View.

Friday, February 25

6:29 p.m.: Strange man– Caller wanted to report that he had given a man a ride home who was acting very erratic. Deputies called the caller back and advised that they were not looking for anyone at this time. 4th St., La Conner.

Saturday, February 26

9:00 a.m.: Suspicious car – Caller reported a suspicious silver Honda parked behind the La Conner Drug store. The vehicle was unoccupied. Morris St., La Conner.

9:21 a.m.: Stolen tools – Caller reported a cold vehicle prowl. The caller said his door lock was damaged and was missing several expensive power tools. Other deputies in town had contacted a person actively prowling cars and located the victim’s stolen property inside the suspect vehicle. 1st St., La Conner.

10:08 a.m.: Prowler arrested – Deputies responded to a recent report of a vehicle prowl.

The caller had given a good description of the suspect and was following at a safe distance to give updates on his location.

Deputies were already in town and contacted the suspect and took him into custody.

Deputies found the suspect’s vehicle was the one parked behind the La Conner Drug store.

Deputies executed a search warrant on the vehicle and recovered several stolen items belonging to the vehicle prowl reported at the Channel Lodge earlier.

The suspect was booked into the Skagit County Jail on 2 counts of vehicle prowl, possession of drug paraphernalia and malicious mischief.
