Bacon Wrapped Steak Bites

This is a recipe for the air fryer. Two tips I have learned about cooking with an air fryer is to use tin foil and parchment paper. I have a basket-type air fryer. I turn the basket upside down and lay tin foil over the bottom and cut around the edges. That goes under the basket, to catch greasy drips. I purchased parchment paper specifically for a basket air fryer. It is perforated with small holes which allows the hot air to move about. The parchment paper goes inside the basket. This makes for an easier clean up.

Ingredients

Steak bites, 1 lb

Bacon, 1 lb

Salt & pepper

Toothpicks, 20

Tin foil cut to size

Parchment paper for air fryers

Preparation

Cut the tin foil to fit and place in the air fryer, under the basket.

Place the basket into the air fryer.

Preheat at 400 F, while you prepare the food.

Shake salt and pepper onto the steak bites.

Cut the bacon into thirds.

.

Each steak tip should be one to two inches in size.

Wrap each piece of bacon around a steak tip.

Secure with a toothpick.

Remove the basket and place inside the basket the parchment paper.

Use long tongs to fill the bottom of the basket with bacon wrapped steak bites.

Push the basket and holder back into the main unit of the air fryer.

Keep the temperature at 400 F. and set the timer for 20 minutes.

Do not walk away while it cooks.

Air fryers have been known to catch on fire.

After 20 minutes, remove the basket and holder.

Use long tongs and turn over each bacon wrapped steak bite.

Cook another 20 minutes.

Remove and serve hot.

Can be eaten with fingers, if allowed to cool a bit.
