Marissa Conklin's adventure with the Weekly News ends

OH, THE PLACES SHE WILL GO – Marissa Conklin, center, is moving on from her two-and-a-half year stint as La Conner Weekly News production manager. At lunch in her honor at Nell Thorn Friday were colleagues, from left, Ken Stern, Eileen Engelstad, Rhonda Hundertmark, Conklin, Anne Basye, Madoc Hiller and Bill Reynolds. Of course she received books for presents.

WAVING SO LONG AND BEST OF LUCK AND FOR GREAT SUCCESS – In May La Conner Elementary School students came out to show their support for the members of the high school golf team departing for the state tournament.
