Mount Vernon – The Skagit Valley Food Co-op is celebrating its 50th Anniversary with a Golden Jubilee on the Riverwalk!
Golden Jubilee – a fancy way to say we’re celebrating our 50th Anniversary! And what better way to celebrate 50 years of cooperation than bringing together good people and good food for a really great time?
The Co-op will be hosting a community celebration August 9th, from 4-8 p.m. on the Riverwalk. The Golden Jubilee will be a jolly good time with local food, drinks, live music, amazing prizes and family-friendly fun featuring tie-dying with Tri-Dee Arts and face painting by Contours FX.
Food will be served by the Co-op, The Skagit Table, Slow Food Youth Network and Cocina Sabores. District Brewing and Taste of India, also located on the Riverwalk, will be open during the celebration. Party-goers are encouraged to bring a chair to enjoy music from three local bands: The Nematones, The Wes Jones Trio and Yogoman Burning Band.
The Skagit Valley Food Co-op is a community-owned organic and natural food grocer that has served Skagit County and surrounding areas since 1973.
