Sunday, March 24

11:04 a.m.: Home, home on the range – Report of loose cows in the road. A deputy checked the area but was unable to locate them. Skagit City Road, Conway area.

Tuesday, March 26

7:23 p.m.: They’ll go racin’ in the street – Report of cars racing on McLean Road. A deputy responded but found no cars racing and no suspects. No other reports came in. McLean Road, Mount Vernon area.

Thursday, March 28

12:41 p.m.: Free rides for owner and dog – An arrest was made on a suspect who also possessed an aggressive and injured dog. The subject was taken into custody and animal control was able to catch and transport the dog to the humane society. Calhoun and Penn Roads, Mount Vernon area.

Friday, March 29

2:42 p.m.: Incomplete services – A caller reported a dispute with a contractor for services paid that were not completed. The contractor agreed to refund some of the money but wrote a check that bounced. The contractor isn’t answering calls or attempts for contact at his residence. Charges are expected. Whatcom Street, La Conner.

4:48 p.m.: Who takes this junk? – A caller asked how to get rid of several dead vehicles that were on his property. The caller was directed to the health department, which processes hulk cars. Channel Drive, La Conner.

Saturday, March 30

2:41 p.m.: Enough with that racket! – A caller was upset about loud cars in the area. The responding deputy didn’t find anything illegal, but the caller was still unhappy. No crime, so the call was cleared. Skagit City Road, Fir Island area.

6:58 p.m.: Blinded by the light – A vehicle westbound on Young Road failed to stop at Best Road and collided with another vehicle. There were multiple subjects with minor injuries but nothing major. The causing driver stated he was blinded by the sun and did not see the stop sign. He was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device. Best and Young Roads, Mount Vernon area.
