Notice is hereby given that the Town Council of the Town of La Conner, Washington, passed Ordinance No. 1245 at the April 9, 2024 Town Council meeting. A summary of Ordinance No. 1245 is as follows:
An Ordinance establishing the Transportation Benefit District funding.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING PUBLIC HEARING OF THE LA CONNER SCHOOL BOARD OF DIRECTORS
TITLE VI GRANT THROUGH THE OFFICE OF INDIAN EDUCATION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the La Conner School District Board of Directors will hold a public hearing to review our proposed Indian Education Grant (Title VI) 2024-2025 Application. This program is designed to address the unique cultural, language, and educationally related academic needs of American Indian and Alaska Native students, and ensure that all students meet the challenging State academic standards. The meeting will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2024, in the District Office Board Room, 305 N. Sixth St., and via Zoom.
The meeting is open to the public and comments will be taken during the public hearing including parents and students, to become more familiar with the Title VI program, and speak for or against any part of the policy, procedure, and grant being discussed. Input will also be presented from NAPAC our Native American Parent Advisory Committee. Documents are available on our website, BoardDocs, in the district office.
