8:43 p.m.: Hey, hey, let’s calm down – Dispute between neighbors escalated as one man got a handgun to protect himself, which caused the other to call 911. Both sides were able to calm down and no crime was committed. Rawlins Road, greater La Conner area.
Monday, April 29
1:49 p.m.: Possible vehicle prowl – A caller believed that someone had been in her car as items were moved around but nothing seemed to be missing. No other reports in the area and unknown if when or if someone had been there. S. Third Street, La Conner.
Tuesday, April 30
3:18 p.m.: Trespassing or not? – A person returned to the marina parking lot after being told he could not park there or store his car there. The person said he was doing contract work for someone who owns a moorage slip and he was just parked to unload tools onto the boat. He was allowed to finish and move his car. N. Second Street, La Conner.
5:06 p.m.: Someone’s a bad dog – A caller working in his yard was confronted by an aggressive dog but was not bitten. A deputy responded but could not locate the dog. Several neighbors were contacted but none recognized the description of the dog. McLean Road, greater La Conner area.
Thursday, May 2
10:41 p.m.: Off-road activity – A caller reported a van drove into their yard and possibly ran into a tree and then maybe another vehicle as it re-entered the road. The van only stayed on scene for a short time before it left. The collision in the road was later reported by the victim of that call. Fir Island Road, greater La Conner area.
Friday, May 3
5:53 a.m.: Suspect driver disappears – Two vehicles collided head on at low speed on Fir Island Road. The causing driver did not have insurance and offered to pay the victim. The victim was nervous being alone in the dark and left the area to call 911. Deputies took the collision report but did not locate the suspect. Best Road at Fir Island Road, greater La Conner area.
Sunday, May 5
10:27 p.m.: Possible DUI – A caller reported a driver in the parking lot of a convenience store was possibly under the influence and had hit one of the gas pumps. A traffic deputy arrived and found the subject was still in the lot and was intoxicated. The subject was taken into custody for investigation of DUI. La Conner-Whitney Road, greater La Conner area.
Friday, May 10
9:57 p.m.: Someone’s sneaking – A subject was seen walking around several properties and looking into window of residences and shops. The subject was contacted by law and detained for criminal trespass. The subject could not give a good reason why he was there or what he was doing. The subject did not actually commit a theft or burglary but was charged with trespassing. Channel Drive, La Conner.
Sunday, May 12
7:38 a.m.: Loose cows vanish – The office received a report of multiple cows loose and in the road. A deputy checked the area but could not locate any loose animals and all seemed to be secure. La Conner-Whitney Road, greater La Conner area.
