Mark your calendars for some upcoming fun activities.

Skagit Community Band free ensemble concert: “Postcards of Gratitude” at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 25, at Maple Hall. This concert features groups that represent all sections of the band, including Fluteus Maximus, Barefoot Jazz Dixieland, Skagit Brass Quintet and more. Expect to hear traditional music, jazz, show tunes and more. As a backdrop to the music, there will be a silent dessert auction with a variety of sweet selections on display. Salish Sea Early Music Festival. This baroque concert features Jeffrey Cohan, Carrie Krause and Jonathan Oddie playing the music of J.S. Bach, C.P.E. Bach, Vivaldi and Aubert. 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, at Fir-Conway Lutheran Church. Info: www.salishseafestival.org/skagit.

- June Scottish Music Session (earlier time this month): Join us for a community session featuring Scottish traditional music. 11 a.m. Sunday, June 2.

- A Celebration of Piping: A fundraising event to support community piping competitions in the Pacific Northwest. This event is free to attend and open to the public. Door prizes, whisky bar and amazing bagpipe performances from a range of local pipers. Funds raised through our silent auction will benefit the piping and drumming competitions at the Skagit Valley Highland Games, the Pacific Northwest Highland Games, the Portland Highland Games and the Pleasanton Highland Games. 3 p.m. Sunday, June 2.
