Kiwanis Club names Students of the Month for May

The Kiwanis Club of La Conner has announced the Students of the Month for May.

La Conner High School Student of the Month for May is Kendall Lee, a junior. Her parents are Jason and Dawn Lee. Kendall's favorite classes are chemistry and trigonometry. She is a member of the Prevention Club because mental health is important. Kendall loves sports. She plays tennis and soccer. After graduation, Kendall would like to attend the University of Washington to study health sciences and become a paramedic.

La Conner Middle School Student of the Month for May is Jesus Santiago. His parents are Sergio and Lulu Santiago. Jesus is in eighth grade. He enjoys his English classes. He participates in track, throwing the discus. He qualified for the championship team. Outside of school, he enjoys his friends and practices soccer. After graduation he would like to be a farmer.

La Conner Elementary School Student of the Month for May is Harper Stevens. Her parents are Lance and Kelsey Stevens. Harper is in fifth grade and has a twin. Harper loves her classes in reading, art and science. She plans to play volleyball in middle school. Outside of school, Harper dances on a competition dance team that travels all over the state. As for after graduation, she is still exploring her options. She will probably do something helping people or animals.
