July is a busy month at the library! Summer Reading is in full swing. If you haven’t signed up, stop by the library to get your reading log and a free book. Our theme this year is Read, Renew, Repeat, and we have tons of fun activities every week at the library for all ages. Kids to grandmas are welcome to join us for the events.
Today, Wednesday, June 26, from 3-4 p.m. come have fun and learn all about recycling and worms with a recycling expert, Callie. This promises to be a fun experience.
Do you have old books you don’t read any more? Want to get some new books to read? Come to the library on Friday, June 28 at 11:30 a.m. for a book swap. Trade your old books for new treasurers and start an adventure with a new book.
Need something fun to do on the 4th of July? Be in the town parade with the library! Come by on July 3 to make a cool book cover to carry in the parade, and then show up at the Yacht Club parking lot at 11:30 a.m. on July 4 to be in the parade. Parent/Guardian permission is required and your whole family can march with us.
Wednesday, July 10 at 1 p.m. make friendship bracelets! Make one to keep for yourself and one to give to a friend.
Friday, July 12 be the coolest kid on the block! Come make a cool toad stool using recycled materials, and you can sit on it when you are done! Pre-registration is required to ensure we have enough supplies for everyone.
Come hold a snake and pet an alligator, Reptile Man will be here on Wednesday, July 17 at 4 p.m. and will bring all his scaly, slithery creatures with him.
Join us on Friday, July 19 to make beautiful butterfly garlands to brighten up your room. All ages are welcome.
If you like puppets, Wednesday, July 24 is the day for you, learn how to make sock puppets so you can put on a fun puppet show for your friends and family.
Are you a Muggle or a Wizard? Find out Wednesday, July 31. Put together a team of three to five people to unlock the secret to the Harry Potter Escape room. Pre-register to reserve your time! Don’t miss out.
