Humanities Washington Speakers Bureau at Museum of Northwest Art: We All Transition with Mac Scotty McGregor. 1-2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 27. What is it like to see and walk in the world from both the male and female perspectives? The 24th annual La Conner Classic Boat & Car Show will fill the La Conner Marina from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3. Check out lovingly cared for classic cars, motorcycles and boats on display in the parking lot, then wander to the dock to see a variety of vintage pleasure craft and working boats. Award winners will be announced at 3 p.m. Sponsored by Port of Skagit, La Conner Chamber of Commerce, La Conner Retirement Inn and Frontier Ford.

Anacortes Arts Festival, Aug. 2-4. More than 220 artisans will have booths filling Commercial Avenue in downtown Anacortes. It’s one of the largest arts festivals in the Northwest. Free admission.

La Conner Live 2024 Summer Concert Series continues in Gilkey Square every Sunday from 1-4 p.m. through Sept. 8 at First and Morris streets. The lineup features Mojo Cannon, July 28; Billy Appleton Band, Aug. 4; Midlife Crisis and the Alimony Horns, Aug. 11; The Walrus, Aug. 18; Cascadia Groove, Aug. 25; Pacific Twang, Sept. 1; Chris Eger – Richard Williams Invitational Jam, Sept. 8.
