Tuesday, July 16

9:03 a.m.: Hit and run – Caller said her car was hit while parked on S. First Street. There was a dent and white paint transfer but there were no witnesses or suspect vehicles. S. First Street, La Conner

4:32 p.m.: Hit and run again – Employee reported someone hit the rear of his car. There was a broken taillight and some paint transfer to the rear panel. A deputy checked around town but did not find a vehicle with similar damage or cameras that faced the area. Morris Street, La Conner

10:43 p.m.: Hit and float – A sailboat operator was unable to maneuver into his slip and hit two other boats while trying to dock. There was minor damage and insurance info was exchanged among boat owners. N. Second Street, La Conner

Wednesday, July 17

10:15 a.m.: Shots fired – While people were working the Ragnar Race, a group a kids drove by and shot at them with a gel gun. The subject hit did not want to pursue charges and believes it was fellow kids from her neighborhood. Unknown suspects as they were not seen and this was not reported until several days later by a subject who was not involved. N. Sixth Street, La Conner

2:32 p.m.: Boat prowl – Caller reported a theft from his boat that had occurred in June. Several batteries were taken as well as navigation computers. There is no suspect info and no other thefts were reported from that area of the marina. N. Second Street, La Conner

Thursday, July 18

7:18 a.m.: Possible prowler – Caller said a subject had been trying to open the apartment door at around 4 a.m. They did not call this in until 7 a.m. and the subject was gone. It’s believed to be an unknown juvenile male who had been causing other issues on the Swinomish side earlier in the night. S. First Street, La Conner

8:03 a.m.: Fender-bender – Caller’s car was backed into while parked. A note was left on the windshield and any damage is being handled with insurance. S. First Street / Commercial, La Conner

4:14 p.m.: Distracted driver? – A subject was parked on the side of the road using his cell phone when another car crossed into his lane and hit the front of his car. The suspect driver was not impaired but may have been on his phone causing him to cross over the road. No injuries and minor damage. Calhoun Road, greater La Conner

Friday, July 19

4:36 p.m.: Another fender bender – Caller said they were involved in a minor collision where both drivers had already exchanged information. Caller was given a case number for insurance and directed to the State Patrol website for collision report forms. Best Road, greater La Conner

10:23 p.m.: Loose dog caught – Restaurant staff caught a stray dog and sought assistance on what to do. With no deputies available, caller was put in touch with the Humane Society. La Conner-Whitney Road, greater La Conner

Saturday, July 20

11:48 p.m.: Shots fired – Caller reported gunshots in the area but didn’t know if it was suspicious or legal shooting. A deputy checked the area and did not find anyone or any problems. McLean Road / Produce Lane, greater La Conner

Sunday, July 21

3:42 a.m.: More shots fired – Another report of gunshots heard in the same area as the previous day. Nobody located and no other callers made complaints. McLean Road / Produce Lane, greater La Conner
