Apply for openings on Skagit County Planning Commission

There are three Skagit County Planning Commissioner terms expiring on August 31, 2024, one in each county commissioner district. The County seeks residents to apply for commissioner seats in their respective districts. Planning commissioners serve four-year terms.

The planning commission works with the county’s Planning and Development Services Department and advises the department and the County Commissioners on proposed land use plans and regulations in unincorporated Skagit County.

The nine-member planning commission has three appointed from each commissioner district. It meets twice monthly in Mount Vernon at the commissioners administrative building.

Applications are available online at skagitcounty.net/­planningcommission.

Applications are due at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, to the Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners at [email protected] or by mail at 1800 Continental Place Ste 100, Mount Vernon, WA 98273.
