Sunday, Aug. 18

4:29 p.m.: The case of the unknown napper – Caller went to his sailboat and found that several hatches were open and it appeared someone had been sleeping in the bed. There was nothing missing from inside and the caller was unsure when someone was last there. A deputy couldn’t locate cameras or evidence on who had been there. Sailboat was locked and secured. N. Second Street, La Conner.

Tuesday, Aug. 20

9:04 p.m.: Keep on truckin’ – Caller reported a suspicious truck in Pioneer Park with a male who seemed to be living in it. Deputies were aware of this subject and have been trying to provide services, which have been refused. The sheriff’s office sent the crisis response team to help. As of Aug. 24, the subject had left the area. Pioneer Park, La Conner.

Thursday, Aug. 22

4:30 p.m.: Oh, so it’s not stolen – Caller reported a stolen vehicle that they believed had been taken in the past hour. Before a deputy could respond, the caller said it was parked on the other side of the building and was never stolen. E. Pearle Jensen Way, La Conner.

Saturday, Aug. 24

4:25 p.m.: No trailer parking – The harbor master reported an apparently abandoned travel trailer in the parking lot. A deputy contacted the owner who said they lived nearby and just parked it there for a short time while they moved items around the property. The owner retrieved the trailer. S. Pearle Jensen Way, La Conner.

Sunday, Aug. 25

7:11 a.m.: Road rager – Caller reported being tailgated on Highway 20 by a recklessly driven vehicle. At the intersection Bay View-Edison Road, the suspect driver pulled up next to the caller and displayed a small black handgun. Suspect turned north and the caller continued west. Call referred to Washington State Patrol. Highway 20/Bay View-­Edison Road, greater La Conner.
