Sunday, Aug. 8

16:02 p.m.: Seems suspicious – Female reported to be running around the La Conner Marina parking lot who appeared to be on drugs. A deputy checked the area but did not locate the subject or any other crimes. North Second Street, La Conner.

Wednesday, Sept. 11

5:09 a.m.: Run but can’t hide – Deputy checked on a suspected driving under the influence collision where subjects tried to flee and hide in Pioneer Park. Deputies searched the area and located the driver and a passenger hiding in the woods. The driver was arrested and processed for DUI. Conner Way, La Conner

10:56 p.m.: Weapon offense – Report of two separate gunshots from the area. A deputy was in the area and confirmed hearing gunshots as well. The area was checked, and another witness was located but nobody could determine where the shots came from. A deputy stayed in the area without further incidents. Myrtle and Whatcom streets, La Conner.

Thursday, Sept. 12

6:53 p.m.: An interesting guest – Front desk clerk at the hotel had a white Australian shepherd come into the hotel with no tags or owner around. The hotel agreed to keep the dog until either the owner showed up or animal control arrived. South Second Street, La Conner.

Saturday, Sept. 14

2 p.m.: Car vs. pole – A driver lost control on Kamb Road near Jungquist Road and hit a power pole. The car ended up in the ditch with the power pole being knocked over and laying on the ground. The driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to Skagit Valley Hospital. Kamb and Jungquist roads, greater La Conner.
