Sunday, Sept. 22

5:04 p.m .: Shots fired? – Caller reported hearing gunshots from the area west of The Port of Skagit trail system at the airport. A deputy checked the area but did not locate any problems. No other calls came in on this issue.

6:43 p.m .: What’s the celebration? – Reports of fireworks being set off by the river. Caller confirmed this had happened earlier and was not currently happening. No response as it was not in progress. Best Rd., greater La Conner.

Wednesday, Sept. 25

5:48 a.m .: Vehicle prowl – A vehicle was broken into that contained valuable veterinary equipment. No suspect information. No damage to the vehicle so it is unknown how entry was made as victim believes it was locked. SR 20, Bay View area.

Thursday, Sept. 26

12:47 p.m .: Enough with the horseplay – Two calls for loose horses in a field off McLean Road. The owner was already aware and rounding them up. McLean Rd., greater La Conner.

Friday, Sept. 27

11:29 a.m .: Possible malicious mischief – Caller reported that someone had damaged a campaign sign that was in her yard. The metal stake had been broken with the sign falling over. This may have been due stormy weather although the caller believes it was intentional. No video of the incident check who may have done it.
