Vote Rylee Fleury for commissioner

I am writing as a Skagit County farmer who is eager to see new energy and fresh ideas in our local government. The upcoming election has given us an exciting opportunity, particularly with Rylee Fleury running for county commissioner. It’s not just about electing a younger candidate – it’s about bringing a much-needed change to the way our county addresses key issues like farming and housing.

For 16 years, we’ve seen the same face making the same decisions and frankly, the status quo isn’t working for many of us. Our farms, which are the backbone of this county, need to be supported with policies that protect their future, not weighed down by red tape. And as housing prices skyrocket, it’s clear that we need leaders who aren’t afraid to challenge the old ways of thinking and push for creative solutions to help both farmers and families thrive here.

Rylee’s ideas on these topics are a breath of fresh air, like encouraging ag tourism not crushing it. His willingness to stand up for the people of Skagit County – especially against unfair treatment – shows me that he’s not just running to maintain the current system. He’s running to improve it for everyone. I believe that with his leadership, we can move towards a future where our farms are viable no matter how big or small and new housing construction costs are reduced though reduced regulations.

Let’s embrace the opportunity to vote for a candidate who represents change, fairness and transparency. It’s time for new voices and new ideas in our county government. It’s time for action.

Vote Rylee Fleury for county commissioner.

Sincerely,

Larry Jensen
