“This Machine is Made for Earth”: The Madrona Project at MoNA. Poets will converge at the Museum of Northwest Art, 121 S. First St., La Conner, from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, to offer a reading and discussion from the most recent issue of the anthology series, “The Madrona Project: This Machine is Made for Earth,” recently published by Empty Bowl Press in Chimacum. Celtic Arts Foundation traditional Scottish breakfast, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2. If you have ever traveled in Scotland and stayed in a bed and breakfast or hotel, you have no doubt experienced a traditional Scottish “power breakfast.” CAF’s breakfast will consist of a great variety of traditional Scottish foods served buffet style. Pacific Northwest Landscapes Drawing Workshop with Kristin Frost. 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 and 9, at Museum of Northwest Art, 121 S. First St., La Conner. Learn to draw a Pacific Northwest landscape, focusing on trees, water and sky, with live demonstrations of pencil techniques, composition building and thoughtful discussion on process. This class will teach solid foundational drawing skills while allowing for individual exploration. Cost: $95 ($90 participation, $5 materials), all supplies included. Ages: 16 and up. Floral Pumpkin Party: A Fun Night of Crafting & Creativity. 6-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6, at ERTH, 105 S. First St., La Conner. Teen Art Club at Museum of Northwest Art, 121 S. First St., is a free program for youth in grades 6-12, where you can bring your friends and your creativity to make art together and inspire your art. Pizza, snacks and art supplies will be provided. 3-5 p.m. Fridays.
