Squash Pie

Use a thick winter squash for this recipe. You can use a carnival squash, or Hubbard, banana or butternut. You can also use this recipe with pumpkin.

Ingredients

Baked squash, cooled, 3 cups

Evaporated milk, 1 can

Eggs, 2

White sugar, 1 cup

Cinnamon, 1 teaspoon

Cloves, 3/4 teaspoon

Vanilla, 1 teaspoon

Unbaked pie shell

Preparation

Mix all ingredients in blender or food processor. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 325 degrees for 60 to 70 minutes. Test pie for doneness by sliding tip of butter knife in the center. Knife comes out clean when pie is done. Allow pie to fully cool before cutting.
