Sunday, Nov. 24

11:37 a.m. and 11:49 a.m.: He’s not him – Both cases are related and are frauds using the identity of Skagit County Sheriff’s Sgt. Brad Holmes. The first call was directly to a citizen and advising they had warrants for their arrest. Twelve minutes later the same caller called the non-emergency line for Skagit 911 and claimed to be Sgt. Brad Holmes. The caller stated there was a subject walking around La Conner with a gun and law needed to respond. Both calls came from the same number which has been tracked to Forks, Washington. When calling the number, you do get a voicemail for a subject claiming to be Sgt. Holmes. “These calls are not being made by myself or any other member of the Sheriff’s Office,” Holmes said. “Please do not provide any information to callers you can’t verify.” La Conner.
